HR system in tech companies are very broken. 10x engineers add more than 10x values than mediocre ones, but 10x engineers don't get 10x compensation. Mediocre engineers always work in big companies for many years, they are expensive but not adding value
Recruiters in tech companies are generally weak in sourcing great engineers, as they are w/o tech background, simply look at big name companies & length of working history. They themselves don't get paid well so they don't have enough incentive.
